VU improves students’ grades and development
We analyze report card data for all of our students every quarter and track student success stories after every session.
On average, our students improved their Math grades by 6% and their Language Arts grades by 14% during the 2024-2025 school year while enrolled in Vecinos Unidos. 5 out of our 13 students improved in Math and 8 out of 13 students improved in Language Arts, with 7 students “meeting expectations” in Math and 4 students “meeting expectations” in Language Arts.
Students often show improvements in literacy and math skills within weeks to months after joining VU.
Many of our learners have advanced in math and were placed into honors programs at school.
Multiple students have received school-wide awards to celebrate their exceptional year-over-year reading growth.
Students new to the English language built the confidence to overcome language barriers.
Many of our students have jumped multiple grade levels in reading while gaining confidence across all subjects.
Our alumni have transitioned from students to volunteers to help mentor the next generation.
