Vecinos Unidos Discipline Policy

 ♦ Students who exhibit repeated discipline problems will first receive a verbal warning from a board member and instructions on how they are expected to conduct themselves and correct their unacceptable behavior

 ♦ If the unacceptable behavior continues, the parent will be contacted in person when they come to the center OR by phone if need be.  Following the discussion, a follow-up letter will be given or sent to the parent outlining the conversation & the parent signed letter returned for the organization’s files.

♦ If the student continues to exhibit unacceptable behavior they will be suspended from the program for a number of days to be determined by the board.

♦  When the student returns from suspension and the unacceptable behavior continues, the board will determine if the student is to be permanently removed from the program, removed from the program for a longer period of time or other course of action to be determined by the board.

 

All disciplinary actions will be based on a majority vote
