Vecinos Unidos is back for another year! We just wrapped up our first week of volunteering, and welcomed several new students and volunteers to the program.
We are lucky to have such a fantastic group of volunteers from high schools and colleges, as well as working and retired adults—coming from all corners of Fairfax County to help our children.
Our volunteers work with one or two students at a time to help them with their worksheets and other academics. Each child has a personalized binder with reading, writing, and math materials so that our volunteers know each child’s area of focus.
