Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way

What do you do when you have 28 students who need to get a healthy snack, do their homework, and read for 20 minutes and only 10 volunteers to get it done? Everyone takes it in stride and juggles multiple homework assignments. Patience abounds. When it comes to reading,  it’s a big help that older students, especially  two of our fifth- and sixth-grade boys, listen to younger readers. That’s good for everyone.

We need more help, so please consider volunteering. High school students 16 and over are most welcome. Our current high school volunteers are wonderful and the kids love them!
